The cute little town of Ashland has a Shakespeare Festival each year. The buildings are mostly from the turn of the 19th century and were still decorated up with Christmas lights. Our hotel was BW Baird's Inn and the renovations had made it a "green" hotel. Nice to see such care taken of hotels.

| Rest Stop for Gypsy |
We drove through cold mountains in Oregon but reached California and the sunshine eventually. We enjoy the USA style rest stops who cater to every member of the family. Their dog parks are better than they used to be.
