California Jan. 8 & 9th

Yesterday, we drove to Los Angeles to have lunch with people we met on out Baltic cruise. It was wonderful to eat a home cooked meal and to catch up with people we had spent 11 days with on the cruise.

We arrived in Palm Springs at 3:00 and found a hotel. Then we went to have dinner with former Kelowna neighbours of ours. Another home cooked meal!

Today we wandered through Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and La Quinta. We found a lake and County Park south of La Quinta. We spent an hour sitting in the sun beside the lake. Then we found the Old Town La Quinta and looked around their shops and had a coffee.

We did a bit of shopping and then headed for dinner and the hotel.

We think we like La Quinta best.
