Fresh local!

We picked up close to 90 pounds of fresh chicken from our local beef farm. The 2 eight pounders are frozen whole for some special dinners down the road. The other 2 chickens were cut up and so I repackaged them for our freezer. Those 2 chickens ($50 worth) will give us 9 dinners and 2 pots of chicken stock for our soups. We like to be able to eat local food (locavore) and the price certainly turns out to be a great deal.
