Snook Haven in Venice, Florida

Vi and Emil invited us to join them for lunch at a place that was part of "Old Florida". They said there would be live music and we wondered what we were going to experience! The place is open 7 days a week and many different people and groups play here.

The group was called "Silver Strings Dulcimer Band" and the played for 2 hours, without any visible break. They played a variety of music from many eras and it sounded like something out of the far past. The other instruments were a banjo, guitar and a fiddle! We found out that a Dulcimer was an instrument from Persia and George says that it is similar to one from Hungary. Here are some pictures:
